Meghan E. Wood

Meghan is a graduate of Lehigh University (BA), University of Miami School of Law (JD), and the George Washington University Law School (LLM). She is admitted to practice law in Florida and New York.

While at the University of Miami, Meghan clerked for the Honorable Spencer Eig at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and interned internationally at a firm in Bucharest, Romania. After receiving her law degree, Meghan moved to Washington, DC where she earned an LLM with highest honors from George Washington University’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Program.

In addition to receiving this specialized degree, Meghan worked at the American Bar Association, serving as the lead editor on a nationwide project aimed at educating juveniles and their families on the consequences of criminal adjudications. Meghan received an ABA award for her work and co-authored an article on the findings in a journal for Duke University’s School of Law.

Following her time in Washington, Meghan joined the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office in 2012 where she handled a wide variety of matters. Her final post was with the Economic Crimes Unit dealing with complex financial crimes, identity theft, and condominium association fraud. While a prosecutor, Meghan completed nineteen jury trials, more than a dozen bench trials, and countless depositions and plea agreements.
