The cranes are returning to downtown Miami – not the long legged, long necked variety but the large, tall type of heavy equipment. Construction activity has returned in a big way. After years of posting job losses, the industry is now adding jobs. Brickell City Centre alone will go from some 100 workers to 300 and then to 3,500. It is expected that some 10 cranes will be working this site alone. Real estate experts are saying that more will be built in the next 10 years than was built in the last 15.
